- Electronics Integration and Simulation Laboratory
The Electronics Integrated & Simulation Lab trains students in designing, analyzing, and simulating analog and digital circuits using tools like SPICE and MATLAB. It covers operational amplifiers, filters, waveform generators, ADC/DACs, and logic circuits. The lab fosters hands-on learning, circuit troubleshooting, and teamwork for real-world electronics applications and innovation.
1. Circuit Analysis Laboratory
This lab emphasizes the analysis and validation of electrical networks through experiments on DC/AC circuits, resonance, transient responses, and circuit theorems like Thevenin and Norton. The curriculum incorporates circuit simulation tools for enhanced conceptual clarity and industry-relevant skills.
2. Electronic Devices and Circuits (EDC) Laboratory
Students explore fundamental electrical components such as diodes, transistors, and BJTs, learning to analyze and test device characteristics and build essential circuits. This lab bridges theory with practical understanding of semiconductor devices and their role in electronic circuits.
3. Linear Integrated Circuits (LIC) Laboratory
Focusing on operational amplifiers, timers, regulators, and other analog ICs, this lab equips students to design, test, and troubleshoot analog circuits. Experiments include amplifier configurations, waveform generation, signal conditioning, and timer operation, fostering skills critical in analog electronics.

- VLSI Design Laboratory
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Government College of Engineering has established a state-of-the-art VLSI Design Laboratory at an estimated cost of ₹21 lakhs. The laboratory is equipped with a total of 72 FPGA development boards, including Artix, Arty, Spartan, Kintex, Zybo, and ZED 7 series boards, supported by a 25-user licensed Xilinx Vivado Design Suite. Additionally, the lab houses 5 Analog Discovery Kits featuring a 100 MS/s USB Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, and variable power supply units, facilitating analog and mixed-signal design experiments.
This laboratory is actively utilized by undergraduate students during the 5th and 6th semesters for the VLSI Design and Low Power IC Design (Core Elective) courses. It also supports mini-projects and final year projects during the 7th and 8th semesters, providing a robust platform for hands-on learning and innovation in VLSI and embedded system design.

- Digital Signal Processing Laboratory
