Topic: Data Analytics using Python

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in collaboration with ICT Academy, organized a week-long FDP on “Data Analytics using Python.” The program focused on enhancing faculty skills in data analysis, visualization, and machine learning. Around 20 faculty members (17 internal, 3 external) actively participated.
Resource Person: Mr. M.A. Muhammad Fakrudeen, Senior Technical Trainer, ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu.

(I) Date: September 11, 2024
Topic: Journey of the Future Skill
Students Participated: 100
A virtual seminar was conducted for II, III, and IV year students, focusing on future-ready skills and career adaptability. The speaker emphasized emerging technologies, continuous learning, and the importance of self-driven growth. The session inspired students to take proactive steps in shaping their career paths.
(II) Date: March 20, 2025 
Topic: Block chain
A Virtual Power Seminar on Block Chain was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Government College of Engineering, Bodinayakanur in association with ICT Academy on March 20, 2025. About 11 Faculty and 75 students were actively participated and gained useful insights from this session.
 

The College-Level World Skills Competition was held on March 13, 2025, under the auspices of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, with Dr. C. Rani serving as the event coordinator.

Our students enthusiastically took part in the Naan Mudhalvan – Niral Thiruvizha 2024, with 13 teams showcasing their creativity, technical skills, and teamwork across exhibitions, hackathons, and cultural events. Their active involvement brought energy and innovation to the festival, highlighting their talent and collaborative spirit. Among them, two teams successfully advanced to the second level. Their achievements reflect the dedication, talent, and collaborative spirit nurtured in our campus.
 

The Department of Computer Science organized a Poster Making Competition on the theme 'Empowering Students Through Government Schemes for Higher Education.' The event provided a platform for students to express their creativity and awareness of educational opportunities. Prof C. Satheesh Pandian served as the event coordinator, ensuring smooth execution and active participation from the students.
